Throughout the ages, music has been used to elevate a ritual to a sacred experience. When Teresa shares her gift of playing violin, either as a solo piece or accompanying our choirs or organist's other music pieces, I can honestly say it is a highlight, both for myself as Senior Pastor and for all our congregation! Teresa is not only an excellent musician - proficiently executing any given piece in many genres, but she plays with a sensitivity and awareness of her fellow musicians and singers that lifts everyone - figuratively and literally! She is a professional, a team player and one of the most pleasant musicians I've known and as a Yale Divinity grade with course study through the Institute of Sacred Music, I've known many. I cannot more highly recommend Teresa for anyone keen on a violinist at the height of her game who is also a stellar human being!

Teresa is a wonderful violinist who fully commits to creating beauty at every moment. As a church music director, there is no greater joy than being able to work with a musician who is dedicated, responds quickly to correspondence, works as a team player, and strives with you to elevate the prayer experience of the congregant through inspiring music. Seize any opportunity to work with this woman!

Since spring 2020, Teresa has been challenging and encouraging our students on violin and viola, and our students have grown in their skills by leaps and bounds under Teresa's expert tutelage.
Thanks to her support and skill, our violinist reportedly submitted the best audition for the top orchestra in their high school and was also selected for a district honors orchestra - what a joyful celebration of accomplishment and collaborative music making! Thanks to Teresa, our violist continually improves their tone and accuracy and, as a high school freshman, placed into the second-highest orchestra. Another joyful experience!
But life is not merely achievements or placements. These are to be appreciated, but if we're honest about it, they come and go with time.
- It's about relationship. -
Teresa has been a kind and compassionate teacher, someone who talks with our students about their interests, about music. She is glad to see them grow as people, not just as "another student on my roster." When we started lessons, we were in the midst of an unprecedented time in world history. Her willingness and flexibility to work with us in what was a less familiar mode of communication in 2020, helped our students stay connected to the beauty of music - it gladdened their (and our) hearts in an anxious time.
We are truly grateful for Teresa!
